September 16, 2019 – Augintel is proud to announce that Social Impact AI Lab – New York has been awarded first prize in the Robert Wood Johnson Social Determinants of Health Innovation Challenge. Social Impact AI Lab – New York is a collaborative formed between the New York Foundling, MercyFirst, SCO Family of Services and Augintel. 117 companies entered into the competition, and through various competitive stages over the past five months, the contestant pool was narrowed down to three. At the HIMSS Health 2.0 Conference in Santa Clara California on September 16, the final three presented in front of judges and audience members. Marty Elisco, CEO of Augintel, presented alongside Besa Bauta, Chief Data Officer at MercyFirst. Social Impact AI Lab – New York was selected as the winner. We believe our award at this competition directly supports the direction we are heading.
